Student Project Using SKYPE
The above slideshow was created by two students - Adam (from St. Raphael) & Michael B. (from Canadian Martyrs).
Process: 1. Students made video contact using Skype 2. Students shared picture books on idioms (The Cat's Pajamas & Monkey Business). 3. Students created a combined slideshow by sending images and ideas via email and Skype. 4. Students imported their ideas onto MovieMaker and to make a long story short - voila a new learning experience beyond the four classroom walls! Kudos boys!

Having made it safely back home from trick or treating, it's now time to check out your haul. You are to find the top 5 chocolate bars that you have collected. To aid you in this venture create a Tally Chart to record the tasty items. After having recorded tallies, it is now time to display them on a bar graph. Getting Dressed for School
by Kenn Nesbitt
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I must have been too sleepy
getting dressed for school today.
I tried to tuck my shirt in,
but I couldn’t make it stay.
I also couldn’t tie my shoes.
I fumbled with the laces.
I snagged my scarf, and now some yarn
is dangling from my braces.
My socks are different colors,
and my pants are inside out.
My sweater from the hamper left me
smelling like a trout.
I thought I put a hat on
to control my crazy hair.
The hat turned out to be a pair
of purple underwear.
I spilled my breakfast on my clothes
and headed into school.
My friends, of course, were all impressed.
I’d never looked so cool.
Add another stanza before the last stanza, that would fit this poem.
