  2. This weeks "Where in the World" is appropriate because this is where the treaty of Versailles was signed, which would eventually lead to the end of World War 1 on November 11th, 1918. It was signed on June 28th 1919. It took actually 6 months of negotiations at the Paris Peace conference to conclude the peace treaty. The treaty was registered by the secretariant of the League Of Nations on October 21,1919 , and was printed in the LEAGUE OF NATIONS Treaty Series.Of the many provision in the treaty, one of the most important was Germany was required to except responsibilities for causing the war. That is why i think this is appropriate for this weeks "Where In The World".

I think that this weekes "Where in the World" is appropriate because the Versailles is were people in WWI signed a truce saying that the war had ended. They held the treaty there because it was a big enough place to hold all the people that were going.

  7. I think this is an appropriate site for this week's 'Where in the World' because the site is the Treaty of Versailles. The Versailles is a place where the leaders of different countries would come and sign a peace treaty, declaring that WWI was officially over. This week is Remembrance week, because November 11th is remembrance day, and that day is this week. On remembrance day, we remember the soldiers that fought in the wars. That is how the Versailles sighting ties in with this week.

  15. This weaks Where in the World an appropriate sight beacause the Versailles Palace is where the Treaty of Versailles was signed. This week Remembrance Week and the Treaty of Versailles was signed to end WWI. Many people were involved in the signing of the Treaty of Versailles in including representatives of Germany and the Allied powers. The treaty was eventually signed on June 28th 1919 after months of negotation and argument. The war actually ended Nov. 11 1918 but the treaty was signed to create peace. Germany had to admit full responsibility for starting the war they also had to pay the countries France and Belgium for all the damages that they had caused to their countries. Another thing that Germany had to do beacause the treaty was signed was to bring down their military weapons. Their army was reduced to 100 000 men and they were allowed no tanks. That is why I think the Versailles Palace was an appropriate site for this weeks Where in the World.

  19. The monument of this week's Where in the World is the Hall of Mirrors. It is located in the Palace of Versailles in Paris, France. This is a good place for Where in the World this week because being Remembrance week, this is where the peace treaty was signed to end World War One in 1919. This is a moment a lot of us citizens remember because it ended a horrible period of war. When signing, Germany took responsibility of the cause of the war and had to pay huge costs and award territory to the countries that succeeded. The signing of the peace treaty also brought together the League of Nations which is a group of countries that have a mission to make peace around the world. In conclusion, I think that this is a good Remembrance Week Where in the World because it was where our world ended a period of war that we will never forget.
