The lack of clean water in third world countries is and always has been a huge issue. The water they're drinking currently is full of bacteria and other germs that causes illness and death. Also, since the water costs so much, they have to give up other necessities for their family. Everyday, the girls have to take 2-3 hours at lunch away from school to get water, therefore, getting less education. They use very little water in 1 day. They use about as much water in 1 day (not clean) as we use in 5 minute shower. That's not a lot of water! One solution I can think of is if the government was to give money to an organization that could drill many wells in different spots to give the people fresh and clean water near their home. In my opinion, us, as a world needs to come together as one now, more than ever and help these people survive!
The lack of clean water is a big problem for a lot of countries, but as the months go on they turn into years and those years turn into centuries. So as the time goes on the lack of water get bigger and bigger. Some people think it’s nothing big and that they live but it’s not true because a lot of people die each day, including children. Also children are not getting the education they need because they have to miss 1 to 2 hours of school just to get water and most of it isn’t clean. So I think that we sound stop putting money toward stuff like electronics and put the money into foundations that go to these countries and make new water sources around the villages so they don’t have to walk so far for something that can kill them.
One of the main sources to poverty is the lack of fresh, clean drinking water. More than 1 billion people lack safe, clean, drinking water, and over 5 million of them die from water realated diseases. Around 80% of those that die, don't even make it to their 5th birthday. Lak of clean drinking water is one of the world's biggest problems, affecting more than1.1 billion people globaly, which is equvalent to 1 in every 8 people on Earth. Although this may affect many people around the world that aren't in our country, we still need to help out. A possible solution we could use is educating people localy about bottled water, and how it affects people around the world. For example, The bottled water companies buy fresh water lakes rivers, and clean drinking sources from the African, and Asian governments. Then after that step they fence them off so the poor can't get in. Next, they bottle the water, ship it here, and charge us, when we can get free water from the taps in our house. So if we stop buying bottled water, eventually the bottled water companies will go out of buissness and will be fourced to give the fresh water back to the governments. The fence will be taken down and then there is more water for everyone. So, lets get together and save our people of Earth.
The average person in a first world country like (Canada and the US) uses an average of 328 liters of water, every day!!!! People in third world countries use an average of one liter and majority of that isn’t even clean! One point one billion people around the world do not have access to clean drinking water, which is something we take for granted. About five million adults and children die each year from water-borne diseases. These people, usually mothers, go o long walks every day to get water from a pond or lake or river that they will later use for cooking and cleaning, and trust me, it isn’t clean water, but they take the risk. To receive clean water (about a bucket full for drinking only) consists of waiting in a long line or it costs the families money that they may not have. Some children have to stop their schoolwork or even be absent from school from anywhere from one to two hours just to get water, but we can change that. The are many fundraisers that you can donate, to help build a well in a third world country. Most wells severe an average of 500 people. On www.thewaterproject.org even if you don’t donate enough money to build a well all by yourself, your donations will be added to others so that a well will be built. So step up, make a change, and provide water to a community in need.
The lack of clean water in third world countries is a huge problem. People walk miles to get some water and sometimes it's not even clean. It has germs and bacteria that can make you sick and sometimes even kill you. But these people use it for every thing. They use it for washing, cooking, cleaning and bathing themselves. Water bottle companies buy clean water rivers, clean water lakes and fence them off so the people can't get to it, to use it. These water bottle companies, bottle the water and ship it off to First world countries like Canada and the US to be sold for us to use. Kids loose 1-2 hrs for study because they have to get water and its not even clean water... that's wrong. And of all the people that die, 80% of them don't even make it to 5 years of age. We can help these people by getting a well for these people or sponsering a child and giving him or her money to go get some water. Lets help some people together!!
Many people in third world countries don't have access to clean drinking water! 1.1 billion people is the approximate number. But here in Canada and richer countries we go through water like it's nothing. We should help people and use less water. 5 million people die each year from water related injuries. For some people the resources they need to live also can kill them. An easy solution is to raise money. You can walk around your community and ask for just a little bit of money from each house. We can also raise awareness. Give interesting facts that will make people want to help. We can help by telling people about some organizations that help clean our water, like the RBC Bluewater project. I think that it is very unfortunate that so many people have little or no clean water. We should try to help these people get clean water without waiting in a long line.
aproxamitley 1.5 billion people dont have access to clean and safe water, and the people who do have to walk miles just to collect a days worth and many children miss school projects because of their lunch breaks when they go to colllect water . 80% of diseases are made from dirty or poiseness water dirty water . people die every day from diseases . I think that people in other countrys like us should bond and raise money to build wells in third world countrys and we would save lots of lifes while doing so .
Lack of clean water is an international problem. Many people die from not having access to clean water. It is not just that there isn't enough water, it is also the poor quality of the water. It is dirty and full of bacteria, and that is one of the main reasons why people are dying. A solution to this problem would be for all of us to donate more money to help build more wells near schools, villages and other public places. My personal thought is that even as young people we should be more aware of water issues so that as adults we can help solve these problems.
The lack of the worlds clean water is a very big problem. People are dying every 20 seconds from unclean water that they are drinking. A lot of the People have to walk miles just to get a jug of water. The water that they go to get is very dirty and full of illnesses. Eighty percent of the people that die from unclean water don't make until their fifth birthday. A simple donation can help build a well in a country in need of fresh clean water. I think that if we all work together we can help build a well in a town or poor village.
Clean water is running out and soon it will be all gone. This is a problem we take for granted because we use so much water in our baths, showers and when we leave the tap running while we brush our teeth. A solution to this problem would be to create more global awareness so that every one can give little by little to create more fresh and clean water whether it be water treatment plants or just finding more ways to preserve our water and give the rest to the people that don't have the same amount of water or essentials we have Carter
As you all know clean drinking water has always been a huge problem, it is even more huge in Africa. In Africa people even children have to walk miles and miles to get water that is not even clean then have to walk back with the water jug that probably weights a lot. Not only that kids miss an hour to two hours of school to get water for their lunch. Africa is not the only one that has a lack of water, in the year 2006 one third of all nations lack clean drinking water! But these problems can be solved, all we have to do is raise money and make people aware of what is happening. I think this is a yet another huge problem that can be solved. It really upsets me to know that the government does not do any thing about this. This is all I have to say.
Lack of fresh water in Africa and other 3rd world counties is a huge problem. Dirty water is very dangerous, it contains many diseases such as Gardia that can make you sick or even die. The mothers and kids have to take long walks back and forth to get the water for their family and they have to do this 3-5 times a day. All that walking takes away their time, the kids miss school and the woman have to sometimes leave their children home which is very unsafe in many ways. All we have to do to get fresh water is pull a handle a it flows out like a river. the city of Uganda has the world 2nd largest body of fresh water but the rest of the land doesn`t hold much water. study`s show that most kids die before their 5 b-day, as well every 20 seconds a child die because of lack of clean water. If you add all that up 3.4 people die each year cause of lack of water. even though there is water is places most of it is stangnent(dirty) Fact is you can go 3 weeks without food but only 3 days without water.
More than 5 million people die each year from water related diseases. So many people lack access to clean water sources which is a basic human need, that everyone deserves to have. Many people use pond water and dirty water for drinking and laundry because fresh and clean water is simply too far away. They still have to travel kilometres just for DIRTY water. Over 1 billion people in the world have this problem. Sometimes clean water can require waiting in extremely long lines or spending large amounts of money, leaving themselves with no money left for other necessities. Sometimes mothers are forced to leave their young children behind, unsupervised when they go to fetch water or do laundry, and this his puts their kids in danger. This world-wide issue is very serious and can be helped by donating money, gifts, useful products, water resources and wells. Think about it, every 20 seconds a child dies from lack of fresh water. So the next time you are able to get a glass of clean, fresh water from your tap that is a few feet away from you, think of the people suffering because they don't have what you are luckily given. We CAN make a difference, if we really set our minds to it.
Drinking water is something our bodies need to have, in order to keep us alive and healthy. More than one million people around the world, lack clean drinking water. Around five million people die each year from drinking dirty water. About eighty percent of children pass away before their fifth birthday because of water related diseases. Many families search for clean water wherever they can find it whether it is in a lake, river or well, not knowing if it contains dangerous bacteria or poisonous run-off. They may walk many miles to only come across dirty water that cannot be used for drinking. You can help by raising global awareness and donating money to help buy a well for people who need it. One clean, inexpensive water source can change an entire community. I don’t think that people should suffer from the lack and access of clean water. We should all be more aware of our Earth and the issues that are increasing each day.
Water is the most importent thing us human need to live but in Canada we have all the water wee need. In Afraca there are some people that die each day from not having water or non clean water. i think that we should all do what Ryan did pitch in and donate to Afraca. Who knows we could of just saved 10 lives.
My personal thought on the problem is just sad every day they just get lucky if they even find dirty water and we just get clean water by flicking a tap. To think that they are getting lucky to find dirty water sends a chill down my throat. Over 345 million people don't have access to clean water every single hour and the number grows every single day. Over 3.4 million people die each year from lack of clean water. So as you can see not everyone is as lucky as we are with the clean water. I think that we should follow Ryan's foot steps and build more wells. We could save more lives than ever.
I think that if we all pitched in a bit we could make a huge difference in the world and save thousands of lives. I can't be leave that every one out of six people don't have fresh water. We have to walk 15 steps to get fresh water, they have to walk 7 miles to get a dirty jug of water. I think we take many things for granitite and we should all pitch in a bit.
It is sad that millions of people don't even have access to clean water, and we can just walk three steps and turn a ta on. Even the people that have access it isn't even clean water, so they are basicly walking seven miles to get dirty water. It is bad because the children are losing school hours. Not having clean drinking water is a huge problem. They are dying and we need to help them. A way to help them is to raise money to create a well, so that they don't have to walk, and it lets them drink fresh water. This is a terrible thing to see happen and we really need to help prevent it.
